The Worst Thing About the DLCs

Post » Wed Jan 15, 2014 6:38 am

When I first saw Frea I thought that there was something about her. Then after my character first met her and I started seeing how she acted and talked, I thought she had prospects as a possible serious partner for Chadric. You know, she's a bit of a do-gooder and likes to preach a lot. Then when I looked at her bio I was even more convinced that she was very compatible with him. But imagine my horror when I found that she couldn't be married (she also has a unique voice to boot)! Chadric just doesn't have any luck with the ladies, you know? First he takes a shine to a dead one, now he likes one who wants to be a nun... :(

Anyway, when I was looking I noticed something. Not one of the main DLC characters are set to be marriable! Stinks a bit, aye? I wonder why Beth made none of the main DLC followers marriable?

If you're on PC there are mods to marry the dead one (I use that mod)

For Frea, the only reason I can think of is because of her duties which seem like a real reason to not marry someone. Still would've loved the option.

No. The worst thing about the DLCs is the random attacks that force you to follow up on them. Whether it's the Vampires from DG or the Hentaimonsters from DB (the former more so). Had to remove DG off my harddrive. :/

Regarding Frea's duties, if they were that important then why did they allow her to become a follower?

Dude. If you wanted to ignore it altogether why did you install it?

Waste of money if you ask me.

What gave you the impression that I haven't played through it? lol.

When I want to do it again, I'll reinstall it. I just enjoy playing at my own leisure without the intrusion of random attacks.

The money was well spent if you ask me. ;)

During the MQ of dragonborn her father is still alive (Up to a point) so it's okay but afterward, I'm not sure if she can become a follower but if so then it makes no sense.

I know that the Skaal chick, cant remember her name can be marriageable. but she already had a default vanilla voice. As for Frea, will probably because they didnt bother recording a marriage dialogue for her. having her as a follower is more important i guess. besides just because she is the shaman or whatever the title was, doesnt mean she cant accompany you sometimes.

And what svcks about Dragonborn is the main quest, i didnt wanna side with Mora and i wanted Miraak to be more interesting.

Frea is unmarryable for the same reason as Serana. You build a relationship and friendship with them both ( more Serana). If you were able to marry either one of them, then that relationship is gone. They both become just a plain ordinary wife like any other NPC that becomes robotic once you marry.
