Why Skyrim should be ported to PS4 & Xbox One...

Post » Wed Jan 15, 2014 11:48 am

Because simple put it is owed to the customer on account of the facts that Skyrim had so many problems that it was almost rendered unplayable. The issues such as lag and bugs deglore are several times worse on the PS3. To make a long story short, we are owed a fuctional game. As I uderstanded it. It is a breeze for trained programmers to port to PS4... Further, Bethesda would make even more money off skyrim fans. As new bugs and glitchs would arise out of the new porting Bethesda would have to make patches. i would even pay for them to make it worth ther time only if the draw distance was incressed and other stuff... One would be a fool not to one please their fans and two make easy money out off it....

Not happening, Bethesda is DONE with Skyrim. They are working on Fallout 4 and eventually TES: VI

You aren't owed anything. Let Bethesda work on their newest project. I'd like a next gen version, but it isn't happening.

This is probably the 6th thread about it this past week.

I hope they don't port it. I'd rather see a TES VI in a few years.

Skyrim on next gen vs a fresh new TES on next gen. only a idiot would choose the former.

It's a fine game and the only reason for lag is your consoles fault.
And a remake of the latest game would be a dumb decision, if they remade say Arena or Daggerfall or even Morrowind with better graphics, I'd be fine. But not the latest game.

Even if Skyrim should come to the next gen consoles, there won't be any "fixes" to the game.

The more I think about this, the better off it is the game stays on current gen consoles. I don't know about most people, but I don't intend to get rid of my current console just because there's a new one. I've too many games to play on the existing one to toss it.

I don't think the sales would be worth the time and effort it would take to port the game.

Indeed. Those who want the game already have it, on one platform or multiple. I seriously doubt next-gen would sell enough to compensate the costs of porting.

Besides one can already buy the one version which has all the benefits: PC version. And it doesn't even cost much, just past Steam Christmas Sale it was only 13.59€ for the Legendary Edition.

They can outsource the thing if they wanted to but if they don't want to do it, they won't do it. That's about it. Maybe if people keep hassling Uncle Pete on Tweeter maybe they can use it to promote Skyrim online. Who knows.
