I got Fallout 3 GOTY Edition a few weeks ago and loved it. I'm looking to get New Vegas, but I'm not sure if there's any DLC that are "must haves." The Perforator and alien tech from Fallout 3 were really cool; are there any similar DLC in NV or is the base game good enough for $10?

Sounds like you would like Old World Blues, but really all the New Vegas DLCs are excellent, in different ways.

Every DLC is pretty amazing but, Old war blues might be what you'd like.

Get the DLCs, you want Gun Runners Arsenal for sure. If nothing else, the Companion Dismissal Terminal will save your bacon.
