I'm new to this site and this is my first post so bear with me if my ideas seem a little outlandish.
I'd like to know what others think about the idea of instead of an Elder Scrolls VI title being released next what if we saw Bethesda return to the very first title: Arena; but made it into an up to date version on par with Skyrim's graphic and gameplay? Obviously the story and content would need to be given a bit of a make-over; but I feel that if Bethesda did this we would see a much more enjoyable Anthology experience in the future if we had all TES games I through V were made on Skyrim's level of quality.
My inspiration for this idea stems from learning about skywind; a modder project where Morrowind was trying to be recreated with Skyrim's graphics and style of play. Personally I would love to return to Morrowind's story and experience it in this way; as would I a return to Oblivion. Even more so however I think being able to experience Arena's and Daggerfell's storylines would be even further enticing as I never had a chance to play either of them (though I did look them up and read up on the lore established in them).
So what do you think of this idea? I would propose calling this new installment of TES I - IV the Initium Novum Quadrilogy; Intitium Novum meaning "New Beginning" in Latin.
Skyrim in my opinion is fine as it is, even with it's occasional bugs. Best game made to date in the series, and one of the most enjoyable playing experiences in gaming, period.
