Endgame PvE

Post » Thu Jan 16, 2014 9:15 pm

As a person who is not overly fond of pvp I am concerned about endgame. Yes, I know there are dungeons, quests, adventure zones and a lot to do. I can increase my skill levels, etc. But what really turns my crank is progression in the form of multi-player pve. I'm not talking about steamrolling bosses with 20 people, any of which could fall asleep on their keyboard and you could still get the job done. I'm talking about hard, progressive PvE content with a large group of people fighting an epic boss. We have heard little about the adventure zones and I am worried they will be nothing more than the large scale bosses of GW2. I was forced to leave that game because..well...without progression there is no real purpose to playing a game for me, especially if there is a monthly sub. Am i talking about gear grinding? Perhaps. Try not to be too hard on me. But I want to impact my character in PvE large scale group group combat that requires co-ordination and precision to get things done. I want to be rewarded for that. I am excited about ESO. I really am. I just really want to know there will be things for people like me to strive for when lvl 50 is reached. Thanks for reading.

That is certainly what they are trying for with Adventure Zones. Whether what they have is exactly what you want, we can't tell yet. But you don't have to decide now ;) Wait until the info comes out, and then make up your mind!

Yeah, I know what you mean. To behonest, that's what I think of, when talking about PvE engame, i.e. raid content. As of yet, we do not know, to what extent this will be implemented from the getgo, but I would strongly advise those guys over there at ZOS to deliver impacting pve endgame from the start and not deliver the content after some patches.

One thing we do kind of know is end game raiding won't be us fighting giant bosses, but rather it sounds more like fighting a group of mobs. My feelings on this are pretty much wait and see I guess. It sounds cool I will say.

First I want to say I'm not asking for this in this game. One thing though that I would like to see in more games weather MMO or sp is fighting big mobs the way they have it in Dragons Dogma. That to me was epic. It wasn't always perfect but holy crap it was awesome. It wasn't new but I credit capcom with thinking outside the box for RPG combat in that way.

Where did you get this Info? I mean about us, not fighting giant bosses? I must have missed that one.

there wont be bosses that are huge in size, bosses will be in relative size to the players so players do not kill a 1000:1 size boss when compared to the player size.

there will be bosses but not in as ridiculous portions as wow had em.
