While playing Skyrim the game randomly drops from full screen and minimizes to my taskbar. I have tried rebooting my computer and still have the same issue. Skyrim worked perfectly until today and I have no clue what might be causing it.

I am running with no add ons and no mods.

PC runs all other applications smoothly and without issues. Any ideas/suggestions?

Did Windows or Steam recently update your Video Drivers? If so, roll them back.

Install any new software recently? Try a clean boot.

That sounds like you have another program running that is forcing it to minimize. (some program that do update, or even Windows update, or maybe your system had downloaded new updates and waits for restarting. !!!!)

if you can't figure out which program can interfere try this:

Go to your TESV.exe for example (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim)

right click on TESV.exe -> properties -> Compatibility tab -> Settings ->check (V ) Disable desktop composition -> OK
