Since I first started gaming a few years ago, I've noticed Nintendo has a habit of releasing something with outrageous expectations, it utterly failing to reach those expectations, then they change their tune and say 'Just as we predicted.' Of course this happens to developers and companies all the time, but Nintendo seems content to duck their heads in the sand and limp onwards in a state of willful ignorance. The Wii, 3DS, and Wii U haven't met the goals Nintendo set out for them. The Wii U in particular is in a state of disaster. How long will they continue to do this?

Bear in mind I don't have that childhood connection to Nintendo many gamers have, so my point of view is as a newcomer.

Honestly, I dislike Nintendo products... Never cared nor liked any of their games (Including Mario) and never got interested in any of the Wii stuff...

So basically, I don't care too much. I do wish for the best for them but otherwise, I am not harmed nor gained if something happens to them that is positive or negative for them.

Well all of that is pretty much irrelevant now that consoles are not banned in China anymore and the Wii U is going to only have to compete with the PS4. Japanese/Chinese just don't seem to be big on M$ console at all. They really lucked out on this one. It might buy them enough time to reverse their current line of thinking. Their 3DS will also print money there.
