Skyshard Question

Do skyshards respawn?

Every level have two parts:

1) stats

2) skill lines

Max stats end at max level of 50 (beside adding a little more via enchantments)

They are so many many skill lines and more are being plan to be added during patches. With every 3 skyshard, one get one more skill point to spend on a skill line.

1) If skyshard do NOT respawn, then there is a finite points to be had, thus one can not master all skill lines.

or

2) If skyshard do respawn and in theory with enough time, exploring and luck, in theory, one can get enough points to fill all (hundreds) of points in a skill line.

Also, one can not spend a point on a "bad skill" in a skill line since one can get an other one later to make up for that "bad mistake in the build" It kinda makes respec a moot point. Makes in stats are NOT so forgiving in this way.

So, do they respawn?

Respawn means that one can get the same skyshard later after a certain amount of time has pass since last time one get that skyshard.

I think they are going to be that for each character you visit a shard once. So I don't think you can visit the same shard over and over again to get points to learn all skills. I think it had been said that we can't put points into all skills.

The skyshards are a reward for exploration and appear to be in specific location. They can't allow you to keep coming back to the same one because then you'd get infinite skill points which they've also said you don't get.

If you could master every single skill line, then every character of a race would end up exactly the same and you wouldn't need to specialise. That is a bad enough idea in a single player game and a terrible idea in an MMO.

You will not be able to master every skill line and will have to specialise.

If you want to try out different skills (edit: or make a mistake and realise that you picked a skill that you later do not want) it has been said that you can pay gold to respec, or you could make an alt with a different build.

I was thinking the respwan time will be a month or longer before one can visit it again. I was thinking that Nick as said in one of the later interviews, in theory one can get all the skill points, just that it will take forever to do that. Was not sure if it was the same ones or there will be enough of "in the wild" to do so.
