Just a random thought that I had a while back. We all know that the Septim bloodline of Emperors was specifically called a Dragonborn bloodline, blessed by Akatosh. Since being Dragonborn meant the blessing of the Divines, it made sense that the Septim bloodline had the one and only claim on the Ruby Throne. However, again as we all know, this line ended with the death of Martin Septim, the last Septim Dragonborn.
Now, I'm curious: wouldn't it technically be legitimate for the Dovahkiin to lay a claim upon the Imperial throne based on the fact that he is, in fact, the chosen one of Akatosh and the last Dragonborn? To me, that would make sense. Imagine the possibilities that this would bring about! A true Dragonborn could probably reunite Tamriel again. I'd think that most people in Tamriel would follow a new Dragonborn Emperor, to be honest.
It's better than that weak excuse of a dynasty that is the Mede bloodline.
So, what do you think? All hail Emperor Dovahkiin?
