So today I created a new Dwemer character using a wood elf. He looks grand! An exact replica of what we all pictured the Dwemer to be (Pale, thin-browed, long beard, angry looking?)! My previous Dwemer playthrough was sort of a rough draft - a test on my skill with magic. It was...fun I guess. Destruction wasn't as fun as I imagined. It was surprisingly powerful on a legendary playthrough

But right now, I'm not sure whether to get some Dwarven chest armor onto my guy or to give him fancy looking robes, Telvanni specifically. I want to make a decision by tomorrow to know if I should use any perks in the heavy armor class. What do you guys think?

Btw, I use Illusion spells on higher leveled enemies that I can't kill by myself, and I'll probably get into Conjuration later on.

A couple of questions. What magicka health stamina ratio do you plan on using? Are you going to use just magic or are you going to be perking weapons as well? Will you have room for perks in smithing and heavy armor if you choose to wear armor. And finally if you did a start to end legendary plat through using destruction magic then you can probably give me better advice then I can give you.

I'd say robes if you're keeping him as pure mage. Dwarven armor is pretty heavy (75 for a full set minus shield) so you'd have to raise your stamina to be able to carry other stuff.The perks you'd spend on Heavy Armor can just as well be spend in Alteration to buff your flesh spells.

I have no idea to be honest, I just update each one to which ever perk I'm going to update, or if one is lacking greatly. I primarily use a shield with a mace, and yes I have plenty of room for smithing and heavy armor (if I were to go heavy that is). As for my legendary playthrough with destruction, it wasn't as difficult as everyone said it would be. I just practiced it and raised it to 30 ish, maybe in the 40s. I got bored of it so I deleted the saves.

He's not a pure mage, I use a shield and mace primarily. I use Illusion when there are too many enemies or when the enemy is too strong. If I ever get the heavy armor, I'll only be getting the chestplate and the shield; maybe boots.
