Will it be possible to buy and deploy something like your personal home somewhere in world or buy an apartment? or thelike?

I remember that the Starwars mmorpg had that feature , woudl be a nice touch if you coudl have ur home in the world .

Housing will be post-release. I have no idea about their scheduling on this or anything about their planned systems. I sure hope though they are integrated within the world somehow and associated with the crafting systems.

I'm hoping for instanced 'estates' Less clutter for the world.

I HATED the SWG model, because there were no restrictions on where houses could be built. I constantly got a mission to go out as kill something and I'd get there to find out that some numpty had built his house or even a full town on top of the spawn point of the mission. Preventing me from getting to the target and thus preventing me completing the mission.

Want!!! Definitely won't be available at launch though.

DAoC did a great job of this though. There were specific zones dedicated to player housing.

I like the idea of an instanced player home idea. May be place items in the home as well, to add that personal aspect to the home. Makes the house into a home idea.

I support the concept of player housing of course. It comes up often, I hope the devs take note.

Instanced is fine with me. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate to start with, just an interior with a bookcase and a few slots for mounting items for display.

Fancier housing could come later (as far as I am concerned).

A system like that used for LOTRO would work for me. So something like the following?

Instanced estates (as I mentioned earlier) with about a dozen (minimum) houses on. Though wouldn't say no to special instanced city districts for housing.
With multiple versions of each estate.

One estate for each race.

Houses are a mix of small (cheap), medium (expensive) and large (guild) with each type having at least two variations.

Slots outside in the garden for exterior decorations (such as banners, statues etc)

Inside, at least one large room, with additional side rooms depending on size with guild houses getting an additional floor.

Interior decoration freeform with ability to place anything anywhere with restrictions. (ie: paintings will always 'pin' against the nearest wall, nothing can be placed to block a doorway etc)

Decorations generally purchased from a furniture merchant, with additional items as craftable, quest rewards and rare loot drops.

Usual array of permission settings, maintenence requirements etc.

I'd be happy with that.

It also needs to blends in the background -- like a door that leads to a some instanced upstairs rooms and be lore friendly. I really hate the idea of spell that just zaps the play to anyplace. If you live in a city, then you have TO GO to the city see your house, no fast travel directly to them! (use of way shrines are ok to get you CLOSE, but not direct.)

ugh...do we need more "House" threads?

Housing meh, if they add it it will be instanced if anything.

More important is Guild Halls, that's where everyone should be anyway ;) If they're in a guild.

I would like there to be instanced player housing at some stage, I'd rather they work on other things first though.

Guild halls would be a nice addition too, they'd have to be separate from individual housing though.

i would love if they had instanced town areas so to speak. instead of 1 house for everyone it would be cool if it was more like a town with say 50 houses. might be too much to do especially when it just easier to have instance houses in the major cities for all. either way if the game does really well we will see them i am sure of it, if it only does ok or worse than i am sure we wont see them

Perhaps some homes could just have doors that aren't used , and , Like in GTA , a player coudl buy the home and use the door to get to his own instance of the home , and then be able to buy furnture and stuff for it .
