materials locations

Just another idea.

I will make it by example.

So to produce "sword of light" you need:

- Ebony ore - can be found only in EB zone

- Mountain crystals - can be found only in DC

- Olive wood - can be found only in AD

So cross factions trading is required by alts or by visiting 50+/++.

It would be actually not so good that alts are required, but later when people got level 50 they could travel and gather all materials more naturally.

More important this could be also done for alchemy and provisioning.

I rather like the idea of having to venture into unknown territories, full of unsuspecting danger & challeneges to gather the materials in question.

I understand that at lower levels this might pose a challenge( lol as you can't really leave ), but think about it if I take your OP into perspective and you have to "gather" these diverse items from different zones then you'd probably dont want to be bothering with it unless it's an astonishing improvement to the gear PvE & alliance quests will probably reward.

yes, may be these extra materials could appear only in +/++ zones, so only 50 lvls can find them.

I would also think you will see high level materials in Cyrodil. Makes sense, high risk to get.

This.

It would kind of resemble gathering in vanilla WoW, even tho there wasn't a designated area solely for "pvp" many of the end game trade goods & quest lines ended up in zones such as Silithus, Blackrock etc which made it.. well ... exciting to say the least.

This makes me wish for more risk-reward stuff in general. I like the idea.
