For the love of god, is there any mage gear?!

I have been playing for all of 4 days and still havent come across any "robes of intelligence" or anything like that. Is there any good, beginner type mage gear?

Most of the generic magic robes in the game have elemental affects. There are no "robes of intelligence" or anything. A shame, really. I could see such a thing being useful...

I know there's a Belt of Wisdom, Belt of Iron Will and Mage Ring that fortifies Willpower and/or Intelligence. I'm sure someone else knows of other items.

There are several rings that fortify attributes and give resistances.

Kind of hint territory but you can fortify INT, WILL, resist all elements, absorb magicka, etc. Some are available early and some not. Ask in the hints forum for specifics.

There are tons of enchanted articles of clothing and jewelry, and some very powerful clothing/jewelry artifacts as well. The UESP Wiki has two lists that you may find useful:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Generic_Magic_Clothing

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Clothing_Artifacts

Keep in mind most magic items in Morrowind are "cast on use" items. There are some "constant effect" items to be found, but they are kind of rare. It's definitely not like Oblivion or Skyrim in that sense. Also, not everything you'll find in those lists is what you would call "mage gear"... there's something for just about everyone there, to be sure! That said, I think Morrowind has a great variety of magic items. They feel so unique and diverse, and when you find one it really feels like a big deal. Or is that just me? :D

Hope that helps!
