ShoddyCast Tribunal Video

Enjoy, for those of you who do.

My comments:

--Who says they were rejoicing in Morrowind? What if there was a lot of sadness/confusion at the change in appearance (think some source says this)? This is conjecture at best.

.

--The Dwemer most likely weren't "obliterated." Stating this matter of factly is wrong.

--Who says all their automatons stopped working? Most of the automatons were still working in the 3rd Era.

--Stating that Almalexia "mourned Nerevar with every breath" is wrong. We know with pretty much complete certainty that she helped kill him.

--Claiming that the Tribunal used the heart long after Red Mountain and that the Chimer changed appearance only then is probably wrong. Guess the Time Line on this is wonky, but that needs to be mentioned as well (no DragnBreak=lie of omission.)

--Sotha Sil Isn't a "Dwemer through and through." I kinda get what he means. Sotha is interested in Dwemer and shares many of the colonies. Maybe I'm being pedantic but this was too simply sated. If he wanted to make a comparison, he should have done so.

--The Numidium wasn't given to Tiber Septim in tribute. It was given to him as part of the terms of a peace treaty so the Tribunal could maintain most of their political control of Morrowind.

Seems like he mostly used "The Battle of Red Mountain" and ignored "Nerevar at Red Mountain", the Pocket Guides, and all in-game information.

ya I have to agree for the most part I can't find that much wrong with his videos but this one was pretty blatantly bad in terms of fact checking

Where is stated that the Dunmer lost the Four-Score War?

I thought it ended in a truce after the Morag Tong's assassination of Reman III.

I find it hard to find a lore video of them without some blatant overlooks or flat out mistakes.

Well...it was a bit shoddy.

LOL, geddit!?

Anyway, I always wondered what those vids would be like if done by one of our resident Lore-Buffs.

Most likely would not sit well with the average you-tube'er.

On the other hand, I like the series as such. But it is as good as it gets, seeing how he ain't a Lore-Buff himself.

Just imagine him trying to 'explain' the higher meta-physics of TES to the average Joe.

It's funny trying to imagine Alama pinning away after Nerevar. :bonk:

"Obliterate" has a range of meaning, and originally comes from the Latin "to erase." I don't see anything wrong with its use.
