Hi again

Different problem now. Accepted the quest to deliver the satchel but now get wiped out by the 3 Shor Stone guards.

Use a battleaxe mainly and at LeBlan. 10.

Is there a strategy for this'll

check your crime stats for a bounty.

I thought it was part of the quest. Otherwise you just fast travel to one location, deliver the satchel, fast travel back and tell her.

The only thing I can think of is that I entered someone's home when searching the village for her father.

If I pay the fine is that it or will this keep haunting me?

Paying the fine should do it - though that will put you back in Riften, of course.

If you have your weapons sheathed, though, and they're still attacking you, something's bugged...

Seriously though what is thew point of the quest if you just fast travel, collect, fast travel back and deliver etc. I genuinely though this attack by the guards was part of the quest. I chose to do my time in jail but then they attacked me again as soon as I tried to enter Filnjar's house. Isn't that where Sylgia is waiting?

Just looked at Youtube vid. I can see now that I must have caused a glitch when I entered the wrong house looking for her father. I now get challenged by guards everytime I try and enter her house to complete the mission.

Do you have an earlier save from before you entered the house? If so, load that and the problem should be solved.

If Sylgja isn't in her house (i.e., the door is locked), she's in the mine.

Entering an unlocked house shouldn't be a problem. Entering a locked house, on the other hand...

Not sure why you'd assume that - she wasn't there when you got the quest from her.

Check all the buildings first. You'll find out who lives where, and it'll likely save you a lot of grief over the course of the game.....

You can also use the quest markers if you can't find who (or what) you're looking for.
