1. I guess there was misunderstanding. On the clip they said: "let's travel to friend' (or something similar), but they transported to wayshrine and just a friend was near waiting.
So they did not teleported to friend - if they did then I would be surprised because discovering wayshrines is one of element I consider a fun.
If my understanding is correct then I could only say that many people on this forum should be politics, you waste your talents here. Because you just do not tell precisely your thought instead discuss hardly with only goal to win with arguments (but winning never happens).
2. There was a bit of trinity - on first part the mage was not directly engaging boss.
On second part there was a bit many things happening, so may be the best choice was to make mage with heavy armor - this should decrease his power, but increase survival.
Also nobody said that tank has to be melle - at least I never seen this canon defined.
The point can be that playing mage in robes might be too difficult and increased damage is not worth it, so we can see all mages wearing heavy armor.
My vote also for DA's random appear out of no where, including in mid 3-way PVP fraction battle...
I understand things have to be discovered first, but so did the aetherite nodes in FFXIV ARR. The reason I am using that as my closest example is because this is a game that has clearly over used teleportation and fast travel and it has ruined a large aspect of the game. they created this game from the ground up. They made the zones more lush and different, because before they were open zones but all copy pasted. They took the time, 2 years, to change all that and really for what purpose, nobody experiences them because you can just fast travel to any location. The exploration wasn't really exploration you "explored" to the next known aetherite/waypoint/wayshrine, so you wouldn't have to do that again >,<. Like Thora said, when it becomes the norm, it almost becomes required. All FFXIV has is impatient people, rage quitting because a person took a little time to get to the area or decided to watch the cut scene for the first time. They are self entitled provential cry babies because a run didn't go as quick or exaclty how they liked it to go. "Skip allthe cut scenes, no side quests, we need to get to boss as soon as possible. WAAAAAA we wiped once Im out Im tooooo leetzorz for this [censored]e"
Again, not that i don't want it in the game, I already experienced it in skyrim, it was convenient and nice. But after a while it does take away. I hope the gold cost is substantial enough to prevent its abuse. Because otherwise we will fill up with impatient people who require you to be there in a moments notice because they don't have time to waste and have to have this run done right now withint the next 20 minutes and there needs to be perfection and no wipes otherwise his time is wasted and he has to go and therefore he is pissed and yadda yadda yadda yadda. Youre in a game, just that alone means you are basically here to escape the reality of the world and waste some time.
Also, as a few have already stated I just hope there is a genuine place for a Tank, and not a "tank", where "tank" merely means someone with survivability. I would be down I guess for mage tanks, hell i dont' know lol I have played traditional mmos for so long it is hard to see outside the box in that respect. I guess I'll see what the game has to provide the mage tanks for survivability. I was already thinking outside the box in terms of a healing build because healing is what i enjoy.

Seems like my quotation marks went unnoticed. The only thing we are forced to do in life is dying, everything else is optional. Glad we're on the same page
Nobody wants to wait, not even the guy who wants to travel to the dungeon on foot. You don't see the problem? Maybe you haven't been on that end of the spectrum, I don't know. But in the end it causes too much trouble than it's worth so you simply cave in and do what everybody else is doing. That's what I meant by the quotation marks.
Waiting by the dungeon could potentially take hours or even be completely in vain, so that's not really a viable option for most people, since they actually want to enjoy the game too and not just sit around waiting for others that may or may not show up.
Having no wayshrines would enforce people to be more patient with others getting to the dungeon.
I'm not against wayshrines, I want them myself, I'm just looking at things from others point of view.
Excellent. No more alt-tabbing while the flightpath gryphon is flying over seas and mountains.
Regarding the trinity, I don't think Anchors are the best place to showcase this. Seeing this video it shows that the majority of mobs spawning during the event are simple trash mobs, they don't require much teamwork to down.
There were only a few harder mobs, such as the Atronachs (you can see this by the look of their health bar in the video) and only two "boss" mobs (again; health bar if unsure) it seemed. And the last boss mob seemed to rely heavily on individually dodging her spells rather than soaking up melee hits on 1 party member.
Furthermore I don't think this party really had a designated tank in the traditional sense of the word. But I can't give you more clarity due to the NDA.
There was definitely healing going on though, just take a look at the health bars.
Looks like that Dragon Knight has some sort of Fire Shout, haha!
Yep. Its a Kiai, which is an Akaviri technique said to be much like Shouting.
But can I use one with my sticky thoom launcher!? That is the question!
Psh...
Sticky thoom launchers are 5th Era Aldmeric bio-magic. Noob.
What surprised me was that it cost so much to Teleport. Now it doesn't give you a clue as to how much gold the character has acquired. But at 1:42 mark of that video he pays "792 gold" to Teleport a relatively short distance. Not sure if that is significant or not...
