My game won't play some sounds or music.

Hello everyone. My problem is that my game does not play any music at all in the game, it does in the title screen and Bethesda logo but nothing on the game. Also my character is mute, he does not make a single sound when he attacks or is attacked and there is no sound when I draw, sheathe or swing my sword. The only sound he makes is him panting when he runs out of stamina.
But everything else is good, NPC's have their voices, spell sounds work perfectly, when I hit something it does the appropriate sound and I can hear my character's footsteps.
Only once did I hear some music and it was during a random bandit attack, and it wasn't even battle music, it was the regular calm one and after entering a cave it went silent again.

I checked other forums and I see that a lot of people have this kind of problem but in different ways.

I tried the most commented suggestions:
I updated my DirectX twice (from microsoft's page and from the Skyrim folder), I changed my sound quality to 16bit 441000Hz (I tried all other options as well) and re-installed my game but still nothing has changed.

Is the problem with the game folders? or is there anything else I should try?

First thing to ask is, do you have a Sound Card? If so, is it set to be the default playback device?

Have you updated your sound card/chipset drivers?

Do you have your speaker array configured properly (2.1 or 5.1 or 7.1 as the case may be)

If the above is sorted, are your MP3 Files associate to Windows Media Player or something else? If something else, associate those to WMP (this makes the system use the codecs that Bethesda wants you to use)

ok, I checked eveything you said.

I checked for updates on my drivers and it said it was up to date, I configured my speakers and my MP3 files already had WMP as default.

But I still got the same problem, only my character does not make any sound and now sometimes and only during the loading screen it lets out a bit of music but not during the game.

Try to delete the Skyrim - Sounds.bsa (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data)

After that verify your game cache files. (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335)
