In some MMOs your character is identified by your account name/PSN ID/Xbox Live Tag. But I absolutely hate my PSN ID and cannot change it.

Do you think your character/s will be able to have a custom display name above their head or will we be stuck with our gamer tag?

I personally would seriously hate to be stuck looking at my cheesy, unimaginative gamer tag!

Character name, for roleplaying and immersion reasons. Not like it's going to stop the Sweetrollfartingponies or Cethiroph1337s of the gaming community from having names as such...Yaaaaaaay.

I do not want to see name tags ingame! Too many stupid names running around and it far better not to see them. Just wondering, where is that option in the poll?

Honestly, what's the point of character names if the only thing everyone else sees and knows you as is your account ID, which is usually horrible out of necessity?

IMO it's also a minor breach of account security. Not enough to give someone access, obviously, but I'd still rather keep as much account information private as possible.

As usually Zaira agree with other Khajiit.
Having an long list with account names like the chat log would make it easy to just check for common passwords.
Add that showing the account name would make the character name useless.

And yes you get Legolas Baggins, not so sure about "random elf" probably more a beta thing.

The option to toggle character's names on and off would be the best.
