I think so (I use it all the time and I've never had a problem)

EDIT- I read somewhere that the bugs in the house (I don't know what they were or are) were fixed in one of the official patches.

I'm missing the long chest by the bed because I completed a quest too early so I needz more storage.

I would test the containers myself but I'm busy in a big dungeon.

There's supposed to be a long chest by the bed? In the few times that I've gotten the home, I never have a chest by the bed which is funny as I've always felt that one is missing from there. The secret closet room is cool though, sometimes I like to leave the murderers mess in there then take visitors in for a "tour"
