Understanding where your OC needs to fit in for ESO

Post » Fri Jan 24, 2014 7:32 am

Spoiler
So I figured, I need to know for my own reasons exactly when ESO is set, what kinds of things are happening at that time, what diplomacy was like before the throne was up for grabs an alliances were made, what prominent political figures (kings, queens, respected houses, and the like) were around at the time so I can work out what kind of world my character would have grown up in. Also maybe help to know what guilds existed at the time, and how many establishments each guild might have had throughout Tamriel, and each guild's esteem/fear in the public eye. I also figure other people may want to see these facts in a quick-reference form, so here I will edit the OP as discussion progresses with all information relevant to the world your character grew up in, if you wish to story their lives, and that's assuming they're not time-travelers. Please spam me with related facts + I'll do my own reading as well.

-The first Mage's guild was formed in 2E 230

-Elsweyr as province in 2E 309

-The Syffim was formed in 2E 320 (later succeeded by the Fighter's Guild)

-The Dark Brotherhood's existence was discovered in 2E 358

-

---------------------------------------------------------------The year is 2E 583 (This is 946 years before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

There's nothing more about that time than what you'll find here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Online
