Just a quick question, and sorry if this topic has been covered before(cant find an answer)

I was lucky enough to be invited to the January Beta stress test, which I took part in and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. Submitted through the attached Questionarre what I thought of the game etc.

Iwill be definatley be playing the Game on Launch.

My Question is, hopefully I get invited to further beta tests before Launch. Will the beta client be patched for General release in April, so all I have to do is put my payment details in . Or do I need to preorder a copy of the Game through a preferred supplier like Amazon etc.. and install the game on launch.

Well I'm pretty sure you will at least have to buy a copy of the game in order to get the key to allow you to activate the account still. I can't say for sure on the install portion though. A lot of MMO's you can keep your beta client and just patch it to the release one and you're good to go, but a few have at least recommended uninstalling that and installing fresh from your copy you bought at the store or redownload through them.

Welcome to the boards! That is a very good question. We are all hoping that they allow us to patch what we already have though.

LOTRO allowed the beta client to continue after release and I wouldn't be surprised if TESO did as well. Just a guess on my part. I hope we can just input a serial number and patch the beta client because dling the entire client from scratch will be a pain.

We're still waiting on ZOS to go into detail about how open beta will work and when and such so im sure when we get that announcement we will find out more about the client early access and what not. Just hang in there should be soon!
