no, i played that game semi-often and NEVER saw more than 10-15 people AT MAX, ON SCREEN, at once. EVER, even in the biggest battles

What stood out to me was the visible passion their CEO has for their game.

well they met their kick starter goal in 2 days so i would say so far so good. i am interested in seeing how this game plays out myself.

I run with an outfit that regularly puts 2 or 3 full platoons into battle, that's 96-144 people and I can see them all in formation, and all when we drop, plus vehicles and enemy troops and allied friendlies. I often run CAS for them in a Reaver and do low rocket strafing runs and I can see hundreds.

10-15 is about one squad. So if that's all you see there is something severely wrong with your settings or hardware. You must be getting killed by people you can't see almost all the time.

Are you sure you're not playing Battlefield 3?
