Tsun, whowhat is he?

Post » Sun Jan 26, 2014 1:48 pm

What are the classifications for Tsun? Is he Ehlnofey? Was he a decedent-link from giant to man? If he was et'ada was he Aedrorth or Daedrorth? Could he also be an aspect of Hircine?

It is said that his bother was Stuhn (later to become Stendarr) shield-thane to Shor. Altmer see Stendarr as an "apologist of man", still an Aedra non the less. But what of Tsun his bother? He only seemed to be mentioned in the Nord's pantheon. Whereas Stendarr is almost in all the races pantheons. Both were sheild-thanes to Lorkhan and they were brothers. From this I gather that Tsun is et'ada. If Tsun is et'ada then what did he give from his body to make the earthbones? He is daedroth I assume, and cannot really die.

There is a lot that Tsun and Hircine share in common as well. I know that at first it would seem that they would be at odds. But a little closer look and I believe the there is a possiblity that Tsun is in fact an aspect of Hircine. I'm aware that some will point out Kodlak's journal to counter the claim. But take a closer look at it with a TES version of duality and aspects. Tsun now guards the Hall of Valor. Tsun test all who wish to enter with combat. Both love trials, contests, and provings. Also in life Nords have a chance to "cure" themselves of therianthropic diseases and even in death this can happen.

Also look at how similar they look to each other. Tsun looks like a gaint Nord. Hircine looks like a gaint Nord. Both almost in same apparel minus the deer skull.

They walk almost in each others foot steps as to walk the same.

Tsun is an Aedroth. He is the Nordic aspect of Zenithar, while Stunh is an aspect of Stendarr. They are further associated with Arkay and with Trinimac, but that is something I leave to Malak the Orc if he ever comes by this thread.

There is a problem with that as Zenithar is against war. Whereas Tsun is all about battling to prove worth, same as Hircine.

Edit: I see tho the change from Stuhn to Stendarr. There is the possiblity that your right. But I notice so much compared to Hircine.

Tsun is the Nordic god of ransom. Think of it as Nordic commerce.

Different aspects are often quite different. Look at Kynereth and Kyne, or Akatosh and Alduin.

You're thinking of Stuhn. Tsun is the god of trials against adversity.

That's Stuhn. Mercy. Can you see them switch places? Mix? They are twins. One died, the other "lived". One's plane is smaller and orbits the outcast spirit of reason. The mirror the duality of their Lord Arkay. Their relationship is insane. All of the Eight are.

All Nordic gods are warlike. Just compare hippy Kynareth with Kyne, Queen of Storms and patron goddess of warriors.

To answer OP: He's an Aedroth, specifically one of the Eight, i.e. one of those that remained whole and are, so to speak, "only comatose" while the rest of the Aedra are stone-cold dead.

EDIT @Malak I think the MudCrab is on to something. The Twins are weird, even by the standards of TES.

He's a God of Justice,really. But that's Stendarr's sphere. Justice is dead. :D
