How many times have you played

I'm curious as to how many times people have played the game? Do you play to finish the main quest before starting over? Do you switch back and forth between characters. Which brings me to another question. I play on the PC. How do you keep track of your different character saves? Do you just manually write them down and keep track that way?

I've had many playthroughs, although there's no point where the game just 'ends' for me. I usually retire my characters when I feel their story has been told - that can be in as few as ten hours or as many as three hundred. I only ever run one character at a time, too, so I don't have any trouble loading. If I do want to go back to an old character, I just scroll through my saves.

I only play the main quest of each game once. After that I make up my own stories. So it's almost impossible for me to count how many times I've "played the game," in the way that you mean it.

I'd guess I've played 30+ characters. I've finished telling some character's stories in an hour, other character's stories have taken me hundreds of hours to tell.

I never get far before I start a new game. I usually end up starting over when I play like an hour's worth and end up dying and lose everything. I probably started over about 40-50 times. I know Bleak Falls Barrow like the head of my [censored].

I've done what I call a full playthrough seven times, well, I haven't retired no 7 but will soon.
A full playthrough for me is when I play my character until he/she has done what I intended (well, mostly) and I feel like now this story is done, time to move on. I usually do 1-2 questlines per character. About half of them have been Dragonborn and finished the main quest.

In addition to this, I had a couple of test characters, or characters that simply didn't work and soon got retired.

To keep my savefiles apart, I use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15/?. Extremely handy and I consider this or similar mods an absolute must if you play more than one character at once. (I think Mod Organizer, also on Nexus, can be used for this too, and there might be a couple more.)

I have had only six characters actually complete the Main Quest. I have a habit of Saving at Skuldafn. I have played more characters through the Imperial side of the Civil War, which surprised Me.

I have only done the Thieves Guild once and the Dark Brotherhood Twice, because of Cicero.

I have three characters that have every Shout thanks to the Mod "Freedom of Speech".

One, that I've played extensively for about 600 hours. I have recently created a second character a few months back. I plan to return and get back to playing as him.

I'm only on my third playthrough, though I'm in the near end of it. I've only had the game since March, unlike most others who've had it since launch. I prefer to finish the main quest before I say I'm done, unless the main quest doesn't fit my character, like my current guy, which is my first time not doing the main quest.

An hour is how long an average playthrough lasts? You should really stick to a playthrough and really get the joy out of the game. And saving so you don't lose everything when you die isn't a bad idea...

I have done the MQ 9 times. It was 8 times until 2 days ago.

I have played hundreds of characters.
100-200 have died.
atleast 200 have been deleted within a few hours of their creation.
atleast 100 have "completed" their RP.
atleast 100 have had a long playthrough but I have deleted due to being bored with the character.
