3 Way Keep battles

Post » Tue Jan 28, 2014 5:14 pm

How do you think three aliances will effect keep battles? Say The Ebonheart pact controls a keep and is under attack from the Aldmeri Dominion, but then the Daggerfall Covenant also attacks the same keep.

Will the Defenders be forced to fight a two front battle or will the attackers wear eachother out giving the defenders a chance to hold out?

What if a keep is taken and the third faction comes in to take it before the keep can become properly fortified/ repaired?

personaly i think three way battles will be very dynamic and interesting.

lemme know what you guys think

how great would it be if you and 11 other players watch a battle take place at a keep and then come and wipe them out after they conquer it? TACTICS FTW!!!

It'll be a lot like Planetside 2: The points where all three factions meet will be fought half-heartedly because assuring victory will be difficult, so large groups of players who subscribe to fascism will roll in with one guy calling the shots and they'll constantly change hands each time that happens.

P.S. fascism is the absolute best strategy when controlling 64+ players. We do 12-player squads (which is how the game is engineered) so the squad leaders have some flexibility, but we have guy just call the shots: and it can be whoever, it really doesn't matter. Everyone has recruiting powers and whoever starts a group and takes initiative can lead; there are no signups, forms to fill out, ranks, or belabored BS. You just join the chat channel and you're in and the next thing you know you and two hundred other people are running in a big-ass "zerg" towards objective after objective.

It'll be a bit like that I imagine. They might slow it down, though, which wouldn't be an entirely bad thing.

OP the dymamics and strategy you mention...happens regularly in DAOC and I expect it will happen in ESO.

One aspect thats diifferent in ESO is keep damage. It will be vital to repair as fast as possible and secure resources to fuel repairs.A badly damaged keep will be a tempting target indeed.
