That might be applicable if this game were F2P. it isn't. There is a subscription fee. Paying a subscription then having to shell out additional coin just to get all the content is bad business.

It is if say you need to do a special quest to unlock it or you have to reach a certain level on one character first before it unlucks but I'm just just guessing and your right we need some kind of official announcement.

Anyway, for my opinion:

It svcks that they're making Imperials playable at all, as I also remember ZOS saying that Imperials won't be a playable race. But I might be remembering it wrong. This isn't really a big deal to me, though.

The racials for Imperials are more of a concern. Nothing states that their racials will be better than the other races, so that's good.

The phrase for the free horse can be interpreted differently: Is the horse faster than other horses? Or is it simply stating the fact that horses are faster than running?

Not sure about the xp ring. Isn't something like this available in the main game? I remember reading a Q&A on it... Arguably, this can be considered P2W, as it does give players an advantage in leveling up that can be acquired for money.

I'll wait for damage control clarification from ZOS.

Well it's the first we hear about imperials being playable, so I'm also hoping we can unlock this ingame as well without buying the CE.

Well this is all a bit surprising and disappointing. Mostly for what it portends for the future rather than the bonus content. I have no desire to play an Imperial and the other stuff is fairly standard for a CE. But if they are milking the players with exclusive content such as races even before release I fear for what may be coming in the future. It still doesn't change my plans which were always to buy the standard edition and play the game until I am no longer enjoying it. I hope I can enjoy it for many months but if it only offers a few months of entertainment I will simply move on with no ill feelings.

My guess is this is why they haven't mentioned the imperials before now.

the digital CE wont be limited, people will always be able to buy it. the boxed CE will be limited

The bethesda shop won't have it. The Bethesda shop is only for merchandise, not the gams themselves. The shop that it is in is attached to your game/beta account.

Every publisher is going to milk the players, on every game.

Stop expecting them to be a paragon of virtue.

"Pay for content", while its not a policy i like, keeps the game away from the "pay to win" model.

And as long as it works, im fine with it.

And they woudent do that, if players would stop buying there stuff, but that will not happen.
