First off, this was originally talked about in a thread by Darastrix Sventlin in his thread here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1480234-the-hunt/
I made a comment talking about pets, but it was swiftly passed by other posts. So, desperate to be acknowledged, I'm making a new thread specifically about Pets.
Having a pet was only really used in Skyrim in the way of a dog and, thanks to DLC, a stronger war hound. In other MMO's there are classes who are able to tame and have pets to fight for them, but that is where it ends. What I feel ESO should utilize is a more 'realistic' pet system. In Darastrix Sventlin's original thread he talked about hunting wild animals such as deer and rabbits to make obtaining furs and pelts for crafting more of a challenge. Typical MMO meta states that mobs, including deer, will spawn in area A and wander around till killed. You can just walk right up to it an stab it in the face and loot it. Same would apply with rabbits.
Making wild game run when people come near them is the idea of the linked thread above.
TL:DR
Its the little things from the single-player games that need to be utilized in ESO.
