recently I have been entertaining the idea of picking up NV and all its DLC. I had the game and all the DLC for 360 and had a great time. but not too long ago I got a much better computer and have explored further into PC gaming (its very fun, but some games I will always play on console.)

my rig can handle skyrim with graphics jacked up and lots of mods running without trouble, so I have a few questions for you other players out there.

1) is installing mods the same as skyrim? I used the NMM for all my mod needs and it made things very easy.

2) are there any big problems I should worry about? ie crashes, bugs, etc.

3) should I even bother buying NV again. or leave it fondly in my memories? I had ALOT of fun and game time in NV but skyrims animations in graphics have spoiled me a bit and it might not be the same as I remember. and with things like ESO and new generation games on the horizon im very uncertain if I should bother.

1. Yes, you can use the Nexus Mod Manager to install mods for NV. I use it and have no problems with it.

2. Crashes and bugs with the Vanilla game? No, I've found the PC version to be much more stable than the 360 version (which I also have). I have a much higher framerate and a more enjoyable experience on PC.

3. I personally like New Vegas much better than Skyrim. And since I started playing the PC version of NV, I've had a lot of fun with some smaller mods (like NVInteriors Project). I guess this question is just a matter of taste though.

Among the many mods available for New Vegas are bug fixes and hi-res textures, which will make it much more stable and better looking than it is on the Xbox. As for whether you should play it again, it'll never look as good as Skyrim and the animations are not great, but the sheer quality of the vast majority of the game (including every dLC) is such that I would say it's well worth another purchase, especially at Steam prices.
