Where do you want to be?

Post » Thu Jan 30, 2014 2:21 pm

For those who get the explorers pack, with the five day head-start, where do you plan to be

by the time the game officially opens on April 4th?

I hope to be about level 20-25 (duel wield primary, bow secondary), and crafting (leather,

cooking) as high as I can get them.

(Assuming the fabled 100% uptime)

Considering that it depends entirely on how much server downtime there is during that week, I decline to make an estimate ;)

I'm going to take the five days to rush to the highest level possible/collect skyshards/level crafting skills. Especially the crafting part, will be nice to have a leg up on the competition before the unwashed masses get their mitts on the game.

I can't say I plan to be anywhere. I'm simply going to do what most games are enjoyed to have done, that put simply... Have fun, doesn't matter what level, what race, etc. etc. So long as I'm enjoying the game with friends, and others, I don't really care how far I am into ESO. I'm not someone who rushes, not someone who pays too much attention to the lore, and history, simply someone who enjoys fun.

No point in competing with others who have more time then me, so I might as well enjoy what I can, right?

If I had to pick an estimate, I'd say, around level 15-20 ish. Definitely not going to rush, and probably going to work on smithing, and enchanting to become an excellent armorsmith/weaponsmith near the end.

I want to be somewhere pretty far into Elsweyr. (As far as there is content available)

Though this is the first game in quite a few years where grinding out leveling and hitting cap is not one of my main objectives, so I will probably be the same (20-25) at official launch, with the majority of my time spent Crafting>Running early group instances>Exploring/Questing>Practicing PvP for lvl 50 in that order.

I plan to get all the professions going pretty well with my first character before even really getting too into the story and questing hard so that I can outfit my friends who wont be playing till launch or later and meet all my alt characters' needs.

If it's like other games... to craft higher level gear you'll need higher level mats, which will be found in higher level areas. And to unlock your crafting skills, you'll need skill points, which you'll have to level to get.

So I don't think it's really gonna be possible to be a high-level crafter on a low-level char.

As for the OP, yeah, dunno how far along I'll be. WAY too early to say, and I don't know right now how much free time I'll have that week anyway. I can tell you for sure I won't be rushing though.

I don't plan to be anywhere, there'll likely be server crashes and minor bugs around, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm more interested in just keeping all the professions "caught up" to me and my needs, not so much in crafting stuff that is far beyond my level. Either way i'll be spending far more time crafting and spending point in professions in the first couple weeks since it will take longer to rank up professions than simply quest and level your character.

Where will I be? Somewhere in Tamriel, taking my time as I level, enjoying the story and all ESO has to offer... or here waiting for the servers to come back up.
