There is no official word on that. I wouldn't believe that those five days are exact by the minute, if I was you. Normally servers don't open everywhere at the same time. Not even at the same day. I wouldn't be surprised if those 5 days would be 4 or 3 for some countries.

I would plan my vacation days 1 day after launch. The first day is gonna be hectic, and since everybody will have early access, expect lag and long log in queues. I personally don't take days off. I need the money and the game is not going anywhere.

The best approach is log in, claim your name in character creation and take a step back. Smooth launches only happen in dreams and way to high expectations.

eh... you do not wonder, how you are goint to log in (use key) 5 days before the physical copy will be shipped to you on launch day?

[EDIT] By the way the past teaches us: The first couple of days after launch day you will not able to call you struggle with an MMO a "playing the game". I never ever experienced something different.

In past history the servers usually come up around 10 or so server time, just speaking from past experience and it is usually a bad idea to take vacation time for a launch, i have done this and have ended up getting a few hours of play in for the while EA because the servers were so screwy. I guess it wasnt waisted but i would have rather saved those days for something that was worth doing other then sitting at the pc waiting for the server to come back up lol.

Most of the time you will get a key in the mail that you input into your account unless you buy it directly from the company that is putting the game out then its automatically put on you like this was.

yeah taking time off for the first few days can usually end up really badly. i work a weird schedule, 7 days on then 7 days off. now the 4th is during me week off but with the 5 day boost it gets pushed back into my on week by 3 days. seeing as shifts are 12.5 hours long i dont get any game time during my work week so if i want to play at all those 3 days i need to take them off. i might just work then take the next 7 off giving me 21 straight. now that could be fun lol

Ya did the swing shift thing, was heck getting ust to, had a friend that was a highway patrol and they had the same thing, he told me the only thing that saved him was melatonin. Helps you get your sleep when you need it. I miss my 12.5 hour days lol, i think i miss the checks more then anything :P

Yes I do, but I am an veteran in early access and game launches. It is not worth it. Actually, early access is just an other way of stress testing the server.

I rather have days off for a day out with my girlfriend or when I'm actually stressed out from work. Sometimes I just need it, and in April I won't.

Ya most companies launch on tuesday, but doing it on sunday gives them the rest of the week with a full staff to get it ironed out, i promise i would not want to be these guys come the weekend lol But maybe everything will go fine and we wont have any issues.
