When I go to play Skyrim on my backup PC, the current save never comes up. It's always an older save. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you.

You mean the Steam Cloud Sync?

The save files are much larger than the typical game so there is a lag or delay in getting the saves updated. I think the updating occurs after you leave the game, and if your shutting down Steam before that can occur, then it can be one reason why the saves are not updating.
