You probably know my mod already, it was my first mod and the desire to bring back this feature from previous game got me into Skyrim modding.
At first I was proud I made it with no script extenders but now is time to move on and the SKSE version is here. For full description see the nexus page.
NSG 2 is making use of the new SKSE 1.7 which is currently in alpha (don't know where to get that, don't ask me, you probably better wait for it's release).
This means it will work faster by not starting and stopping a quest for each capture and no more mambo jambo for text replacement.
If you wish please test the new version without SKSE cause it should auto detect that and use the old method if not present. The file is now in the update section on nexus and will be changed to main file when SKSE will be out of beta.
This also gives me less headache now maintaining it which will probably result in a couple of new optional features in the future like:
- look into improving it to allow multiple targets under soul trap effect at same time (which was quite impossible with quest start-stop)
- summon the soul that was trapped: by creating a staff or a scroll from the gem or whatever it will work best
- probably even the old Daggerfall (right?) feature of souls breaking out of the weapons and attacking you
- let me know what you think of those and even propose other things
