Power Armour T-51b ?

Post » Mon Feb 03, 2014 6:17 pm

Hello all, I only recently purchased the GOTY game for Windows, only ever just dabbled with it on PS3.

Being a beginner at this game I read up on some things and found one of the things to do first on leaving

the vault is to go and do Operation Anchorage because of the Armour etc at the end.

Ok, so I completed Operation Anchorage and got my suit of Winterized T-51b Power Armour which I read

does NOT degrade, well my suit of this armour is and does degrade, I assume this was a bug and was fixed

at some point ?

Thanks.

PS: Is the Rock It launcher worth having ?

it does degrade but it has thousand health points or if your get weird bug it has 10 million(so says wiki lol) Honestly I use power armor once in awhile, I am more of a leather armor kinda guy, but you can have some serious fun with the Chinese stealth armor!

The pitt has some great armors if your not into the "brotherhood power armor" look.

Never had much luck using rockit launcher, but it was pretty amusing to kill people with random junk for ammo

Wouldn't say so. It's the only weapon (IIRC) for which "ammo" has weight. It also isn't rather that effective compared to other weapons. You may want to kill a mutant with a teddy bear f.e., but after that I don't see the point in retaining it.

the rock it launcher is just something to mess around with. it does have a good point, free ammo. it uses junk and that is almost unlimited.

OK, thanks for the replies on the Rock it launcher weapon.

So the armour degrade thing is just a glitch and as you say so says Wiki and the net.

I've played as close as I could to an all crafted weapons character and with the associated skills being high enough, all those rigged weapons are pretty powerful.

As far as the armor goes, I don't think I have used it enough to see if it really is "indestructible." But after a few fire fights, it didn't degrade. So the glitch must be that it makes the armor degrade much faster than it's supposed to... ..or what?

Edit: I might be thinking about the winterized variant...

I've been using Pre-war money as ammo for my Rock-it launcher. Party cannon indeed.

everybody loves a party cannon cheese for everyone.

you know in all my years of playing FO3 I only had the rock-it launcher twice and only made the railroad gun once. never made any of the others
