After playing for quite a while I received a companion quest to clear beasts from a cave. after clearing beasts quest is not closing. The quest still shows active. back in the cave a whiter mission arrow is located dead center map and nothing is there. just cave graphic. Detect life shows nothing. the problem is now I cannot receive any quests from companions as they all state "you have a quest from Aela". Is there a way to clear or delete this quest?

Part two , now I am having same issue with shout word quest. Have received power word from wall and even applied it to shout, the white arrow is still in front of wall and mission is still listed as open. This , like the companion issue, blocks all attempts for new mission from Amgier.. I have xbox 360 and just recently added all add ons.

For the first one, you'll need to reload a save before you meet with whoever gave you the quest. Preferably before a loading screen.

For the Companions issue, the only solution is reloading a previous save as Shadow_Titan17 said above.

For the Word of Power issue, I'm guessing Arngeir must have given you the quest for Arcwind Point (which was added by Dawnguard). If so, there is no solution for this issue on the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles.

I had the same problem with Companion quests. I posted it. Only solution was to go before I did the quest with switch to Aela for quests.
