I am in Soul Cairn close to the area with the merchant and the game constantly crashes when I try to go any further. I've googled around a bit and it seems to be a common problem but no real solution have been found. Anyone know what is causing this and if there is any fix? I have the unofficial Dawnguard patch but it obviously didn't fix this particular issue.

Update: I managed to bypass this section of the game by going back to a save in the beginning of the area and then using god mode and no clip to go directly to the end without interacting with anything on the way other than what is necessary. It svcks but at least I got out of there, now however I am on the wayshrine mission and it is is worse than ever. I seriously experienced 50+ crashes to desktop only managing to get anywhere using the no clip command to get as far as I possibly could before the game crashed again. No however I am at a point where I can barely move the camera before the game crashes on me...

The problem seems only to occur in the outside here though.

Does this occur with multiple save files, or just one?

I keep multiple save files but I only have one character.

What I find really odd is that it appears to be related to if I do something and how much I do in that area. Completely ignoring everything seems to make the sections a lot more reliable and I did manage to get past everything using this method, no clipping past the last Falmer camp before the last wayshrine.

Is there an easy way to copy my load list? It is pretty big.
