Dual Monitor Mouse Problems..."One Tweak" not fixing

Post » Mon Feb 03, 2014 8:45 pm

Hello and thank you in advance,

I have a dual monitor setup. So my problem is, when I am playing Skyrim, my mouse decides to leave the game, and go over to my secondary monitor. Of course, this always happens during combat, at which point, I die. YAY! So I have tried different fixes that are supposed to allow alt-tabbing and fixiing the dual mouse problem, but they are not working. One Tweak is not working, as it doesn't create the log file in the main install directory. It only creates a log file in the plugins directory, but that log file doesn't have the needed info. I have tried de-selecting the 'windowed mode', and just resigning myself to fullscreen...but now fullscreen doesn't work either. My mouse leaves my game no matter what I do. HELP?!?!?!? This was probably resolved ages ago...but as I'm really newly coming into this, I could really use some help, and my search on the forums did not produce an answer. Sads.

Try http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1381830-windows-cursor-showing-up-in-skyrim-in-addition-to-game-cursor/?p=20944453 fix.

http://www.snakebytestudios.com/2010/05/using-cursor-lock-with-steam-games/ is another potential solution.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40706/? is a third possible fix. (simple borderless window supposedly locked the cursor to that window, that file is hidden though, and refers to this mod for use instead.)

There are other solutions if that none of these work.

Thank you so much for the efforts, and none of these work. As I stated in the opening post, OneTweak is not working, Cursor Lock doesn't work because I am using SKSE, and so there isn't really a way to make it point to that and then LOCK Skyrim. Pressing ctrl+alt+delete and clicking cancel doesn't work. And Disabling visual themes did not work. HeyYou, you said there were other possibilities as well?

hhhmmm.... Do you fire off the game via the SKSE loader? If so, try pointing Cursor lock at that...... or, have the loader point at the cursor lock shortcut for skyrim. (yeah, some interesting hoop jumping....)

Do you have Raptr running perchance? (that is known to cause this issue as well, just kill off the process before you play.)
