I am a part of a multi-game community that is planning to take part in Elder Scrolls Online and was curious if in-game we will have the ability to create custom chat channels to talk in. The reason I ask is because there will be 3 different Alliances and we were hoping to keep the community in touch with each other during play. For example, in The Secret World we have a custom channel setup so that we can all talk to one another, joke around, form groups, and this works across all 3 factions in the game. I was wondering if anyone knew if this will be something that is possible in ESO.

There is a guild chat from what I've seen that allows you to talk to anyone in your guild regardless of the faction their in.

guild chat is indeed cross faction and lets you talk to everybody

ok so to confirm the guild will allow players in regardless of Alliance, the only time we really get split up will be when it comes to PvP?

Well you cant be with another guild mate if your in opposite alliances but you can talk to them. Same for PvP zones.

you will be sperated for lvling and pvp if you are in a diffrent alliance

Cyriodil or the PvP area is also divided in shards, but its called campains for Pvp, system tries to put you together with friends and guildmates but it will not put you against friends and guildmates in another faction. Most will not like that, you have an potential conflict of interest and so on.
