Considering how the Thalmor operate I would say it is pretty likely they did it at least once to torture dissidents.

Yeah, Tiber is as big monster as the dominion. The difference is he wants the world to remain the same, and not destroy it.
The point is that if you can't handle a bit of ruthlessness and ambiguity in a character, you're in the wrong series. So enough with all the hand-wringing over Ulfric being a baaad baaad man. It's pathetic.
And the Imperial Government is any better than him? They literally stab their own Emperor in the back, who's family, ironically, gained the Ruby Throne through force.
Point, missed. That being that compared to other figures in Tamrielic history- such as the guy who depopulated whole regions and deployed Numidium in his bid to take over the continent- if even the absolute worst the imperials say about Uflric is true, it still doesn't rate a raised eyebrow.
Well, that is about half the story, as in the officially known one. There is also the part about the High Chancellor convincing the Elder Council that the first Mede would be a good puppet.
I wouldn't say there are none. Jarl Kuvar from Winterhold, for instance. And Markarth's Stormcloak jarl.
And there is this argument used by SC supporters, "Oh, but Ulfric lets them...". Irrelevant. You will find people from all races working and living in Morrowind but damn, do the Dunmer hate those filthy outlanders. It doesn't equal tolerance.
I don't think the Stormcloaks are racists anymore than any other group of people (apart from actual racists groups of course lol). I think individuals may be racially biased or maybe even full blown racists, but the organization as a whole is not.
You can't just say the abort children because they've got a bad reputation?! The companions worshiped Hircine for the powers of Lycanthropy, I take it this means they were behind the Oblivion crisis and sacrifice people because that's what Daedra worshipers do...
