Recently i didn't have my DLC activated on my PS3 and played Skyrim without it and saved the game. After activating the DLC again i loaded up my save and i got jumped by the dragonborn cultist dudes.. Even though i've completed that entire DLC. Also my Hearthfire house has gone, along with every single item i've collected over 300+ hours which i stored inside it. Please tell me Bethesda wasn't dumb enough to not somehow save your dlc data even when it's not downloaded or activated.. How do i get it back? Is it a glitch, or a genuine stupid move by Bethesda.

It's normal, that's how the files work. You can't have DLC content in your game without the DLC... It should be obvious.

Activate the DLC and reload a save from before deactivating them. I think it's the only way to recover your items.
