Vanishing Children

ok so, i been playing skyrim for a while and i have had nooo problems on my skyrim character. recently my little sister decided she wanted to play so i said sure and let her make her character. She made a khajit lvl 100 sneak in a few days. she got a lot of money from dark brotherhood and thieves guild. so she decided she wanted a house and a couple of kids. she bought breezehome in whiterun and proceeded to adopt lucia. she ran home fine as can be, then she adopted hroar, it took him a week in game time to show up at the house. finally she got married to Oman (i think thats how his name is) last night. she went home to see her husband and kids. she talked to her husband (the usual thing about the shop) and then she went down to her kids. she found lucia arguing with air. she came up with the option for "both of you cut it out" or "lucia go to your room" she said both of you cut it out. she went to the bedroom and kept waiting one hour at a time (in game time) for her beloved hroar to come home and go to bed. The thing is Hroar never came home. my sister is so upset she just wants her hroar. what can i do to help fix her game? (ps i have tried reloading a save file he still is gone) was he kidnapped or something?

Most of the children are bugged...check this :

Blaise and Sofie seem to be the least bugged...I only ever adopt them.I have never had them disappear or bug-out otherwise on any play-through.

Note on Sofie : After adopting Sofie when trying to give her a gift all the options may be gray and the message "Item Is Too Heavy Too Carry" appears in the top-left corner. This is because she still has all her flower baskets on her from before you adopted her.If you have the Speech skill Merchant perk unlocked, make sure to purchase all of her flower baskets before adopting her, to keep this problem from occurring in the first place.
