Do you think the Holy Trinity will still be required?

I notice a trend lately with MMOs in regards to the Holy Trinity. I have seen a lot of games lately slowly but surely trying to get gamers away from the thinking that you need to have the "Holy Trinity" in order to be successful in endgame contents. Granted, there will always be the holy trinity in some aspect, but what I am getting at is people dedicated fully to one role (i.e. some one dedicated to being a tank would spend his skillpoints completely on tank-related skills and steer away from anything else). So with this said, I made this poll.

I'm hoping they won't be NEEDED, but I'm guessing quite a lot of players who are into things like raids will naturally min-max into these roles anyway.

From a group point of view "minmaxing" also means having players playing specialized roles.

example: A group of eight hybrids isnt going to be as effective as a group with a couple of good tanks, a couple of good healers and four strong DDs.

For soling/small grouping hybrids are often very effective.

I would think with weapon swapping this complicates things a little bit. You will almost always have 1 or 2 people in a party who either have heals as a primary or can switch to heals in the middle of a fight, maybe even 3/4 for when you know you're going to get hit by heavy damage so you can recover fast and get back to DPSing. Grr I need to do certain things I can't discuss this weekend so I can stop discussing things so blindly. From what we've heard, weapon swapping doesn't cost resources or time to switch, so under those circumstances it would be very likely healers will switch to DPS roles when damage can be prioritized over healing.

i like the trinity but i feel the trinity is very flexible in this game. for example i could start as the tank then switch to dps while someone else takes over tanking duties. you can have 2-3 healers really if you need to. i cant imagine doing any end game without at least a tank and healer though
