I was wondering if you can transfer gear from new vegas to fallout 3, or are the mechanics different or is it just not possible.

While the engine is the same, they are seperate games. Saves are not cross-compatible

Wasnt worrying about the saves, just whether gear files that are in FNV are compatible with Fallout 3.
