Your favourite city in Skyrim?

Post » Fri Feb 07, 2014 4:50 am

I did a search and found nothing. I was just wondering what your favourite city in Skyrim is? No Raven Rock, as technically Solstheim is now a part of Morrowind. Sorry!

I'll list some of my favourites and then come to a definite conclusion.

Markarth - I have a love affair with The Reach. It's simply breathtaking. Markarth is no different, although it's lack of Nordic architecture is a downside. Despite it's dangerous nature, Markarth is definitely a favourite of mine.

Falkreath - It's in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by beautiful, dense forests of green. Everyone seems to know each other, it's very disconnected from the rest of the world, and very beautiful. It's lack of variety is a downside however.

Whiterun - Jolly old Whiterun. Very Norwegian, very Nordic in influence. Lovely traditional city. It's certainly a favourite.

In conclusion, Markarth is my favourite city. I love everything about The Reach and Markarth is no different. How about you?

Whiterun. Everything about the city and the hold. The biggest and the best of the nine holds. The "volcanic areas" in southern Eastmarch is also nice.

Windhelm. Because it's full of Nords who are powerful, mighty and FREE!

For the 2nd thing I voted His majestic sixiness.

Solitude cause I'm a rich snob and I love looking down on the little people.

...

....

I'm kidding Jeez, I like Solitude cause it's the coolest city to me.

Whiterun comes second cause Jarl Ballin is my bro Jarl 4 life.

I chose hagrid's super giant strength that he uses to smash people.

I can't believe I'm the only one who picked 'his kind, loving nature'.
Windhelm. Because of the architecture, twisted alleys, memorial tablets, racial strife, snow and the feeling of being surrounded by history. It's all so damn depressing, but I still love it.
I like Riften too.

Solitude, reminds me more of the Imperial City than a nordic city so I am a big fan. I am gathering that Hagrid is the bearded guy to which I don't really care about one way or the other.

Architecture-wise, Markarth's my favorite. Too bad everyone there is a dike.

In terms of places I'd actually want to live...Whiterun (since Winterhold doesn't really count as a city and I just like the College anyway). Jarl Ballin FTW

Whiterun, it's got that Nord vibe to it. Second is probably Falkreath, it's location is fantastic.
