I would like the Imperials to be Exclusive content for the first year. At the 1 year anniversary, I would like it to go on market for $20.00, and $10.00 for characters of any faction. $10.00 for the horse.
I present 5 reasons to support my view.
1. Imperials will be only those who were collectors. Same with Bretons of the Ebonheart Pact. When the anniversary comes and everyone else can join in, there will have been something special about having been imperial or Ebonheart Breton.
2. If the Imperial is released upon release or immediately afterward the privelige of being an Imperial is reduced in value.
3. When it comes up to market for digital download, the price will reflect the prestige of The Imperial. Not just a $5.00 throw away, the Imperials are those who paid for it.
4. Part of the whole point of buying something not availible to everyone is actually others "not having it". When they gain access to it, the cost should reflect the reduction of exclusivity.
5. The one year anniversary would be a great time to allow the rest of the public to buy-in to playing Imperial because it would be great marketing.
Edit:
6. Making it more expensive to buy it all later creates an advantage in buying the Imperial Edition.
7. Digital upgrades should compensate your team for their work, to keep ESO online for years to come. Games like Ultima Online and Tibia have remained online while many many games have been closing their servers.
Let us keep you paid and the game played!
Great work and cheers!
