ESO getting ripped a new one via Youtube.

Post » Sat Feb 08, 2014 11:31 pm

This game is getting absolutely trashed in literally every video preview.

Search YT for "elder scrolls online preview" filter it by "today" and watch.

Personally I was in the beta and I have to agree, this game is absolutely terrible, lacking innovation, and feels like a game from 2009.

Mark my words, free to play in less than 6 months.

Did you want to be more specific? I expected an online version of the Elder Scrolls game, and so far it seems to deliver just that.

What were you expecting?

Meh. I'm playing the beta and have no problems with it. I can see how the hardcoe MMO player probably wouldn't like it, but for me and the common player, we'll enjoy it. A few bad previews mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Well unfortunately I can't post links, but please watch every preview, Gamespot, IGN, Angry Joe, PC Gamer, VideoGamerTV. Literally all of them say the game svcks, and having been in the beta twice, I have to agree.

I'm not going to make a wall of text about it either, since all the points are made via the previews for me.

Bad reviews get more views. Simple as that. IDGAF about what you think they're integrity is.. I like the game. I bought it already. I'll continue to enjoy it. Hopefully you'll find a game you can enjoy. Good luck.

Personally i could careless what Gamespot, IGN, Angry Joe, has to say. The game is only as good as your view of it is. Just because some person on youtube that is behind a camera recording himself say's it's horrible doesn't make it so. If you don't like the game don't play it, that doesn't mean you should go around calling the game bad just because you or some other people feel that is it. it's all in the opinion of that player.

PS. I have played the beta more then once and i for one enjoy the game very much, now it's not totally skyrim or the other elder scroll games but it's close enough to the feel that i enjoy it.

From my experience playing games that get raving reviews across the board?

I'd say getting bad reviews is actually a good sign for TESO.

The general point of a forum is to post an exchange of ideas, and in this case qualifying "svcks" as to this particular ESO. I too have played the game in beta, and while I have seen (and have posted) some bugs and possible fixes, it's pretty much what I'd expected it would be.

So again, just what were you expecting?

A game that's being released in 2014.

The really fan-boi bias on this forum was expected though, made the same post on IGN, Gamefaqs, MMOHUT and other places and the consensus generally agreed with the previews.

What make's me facepalm the most is people that think just because were in 2014 MMO game's should be super uber awesome high graphics, but what these people fail to understand is the general population of people that play mmos don't have these 1k 2k or even 3k pc that can run a game on ultra high graphics.

The guys who should know something about an MMO, MMORPG.com, were pretty complimentary of the game thus far. I'd be more inclined to listen to them than I would Gamspot, Angry Joe, etc.

I never mentioned the graphics. The gameplay itself svcks. It just feels exactly like what we've already seen a million times before.
Even the project director for ESO has said himself "There is no innovation left in the MMO space". And after playing ESO, he was right.

The latest cool thing for games "reviewers" is to can anything that's had even a little bit of anticipation ,one of the reviewers i read today admitted he dislikes the elder scrolls games ,only played in cold harbour and based his review on that so not really an in depth review especially as like all the splash screen's say its a "Beta" !

only review that will count are the ones after release when the final products out ,till then it's all opinion (even my comment are just opinion so take it as you will).

If you don't like something (After trying it out) then stop playing it.

All the reviewers in the world could say ESO svcks but as a beta player, I like it and will be buying it.

The game is good as of now. Its in beta stages so its stupid for anyone to actually try to trash it on reviews and what not. Don't they know what beta means? Any who, Only thing i do know though is that it is not worth a monthly subscription. Its good but not worth it. Sorry bethesda, I will not pay a monthly subscription.

No one is trying to sway your opinion. If you actually like the game, then buy it. I have stopped playing it. Making this post is more fun that going from A to B to C while killing randomly placed humanoids along the way in ESO.

I'm loving the game so far, and so are my friends. Only gripes I have is with Archery - it needs to be made closer to Skyrim in every aspect. Otherwise, Melee and Magic is very very good. Animations all around need to be improved a bit though. Excellent story, rpg elements, art design, and graphics though.

Whiney posts like yours that vaguely trash and don't provide any specifics just demonstrate your own inadequacy when it comes to assessing a beta and don't really add much to the conversation. If there are things that you don't like, then tell us, otherwise, don't bore us with nonsense.

Sure, you could be correct and the game could be free to play in six months, but without any detail, you are just another troll.

PS. You do know that the game hasn't actually been released yet, don't you?

PPS. You do know what the whole "beta" thing is about don't you?

You're an idiot, I said I wouldn't post a wall of text since the previews describe exactly how I feel. So you want to know the details? Then maybe, just MAYBE you could go watch the previews. You are clearly the inadequate one as you couldn't be motivated enough to go watch the previews yourself.

For some reason, fan-boi is never used in a good way. Probably better to not use it at all, actually.

Since the insults have started, this can close.
