Is the Explorer's Pack pre-order only?

Post » Sun Feb 09, 2014 9:48 pm

I'm glad to see they are going to allow bosmer into Hammerfell and stuff like that. However, I'm a bit worried this will be pre-order only. It would make a lot more sense to allow any player any time to purchase the Explorer's Pack with real money, instead of making it something only those that pre-ordered can do.

I certainly know I would be willing to shell out ten, maybe even twenty, dollars to make a Daggerfall Covenant bosmer if I end up liking ESO enough. I'm sure plenty of others are willing to spend extra money to get their Breton's into Morrowind too.

I do believe that it is Pre-order only, that being said I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes an option later. Personally I hope it does, Elder Scrolls games are a lot about freedom to the player and that seems like a big one.

I will most likely play as my normal which is a Breton and I am debating between the Daggerfall Covenant and the Ebonhart Pact, I may play as an Imperial and the same decision holds true.

@Lenthas, ALL companies are "money hungry", that's how Zenimax produces their content.

Lol, to get the pre-order bonuses and to ensure you get a copy of the game :P

The bonus of any race any faction will likely be available only to the ore-order crew for awhile but I have a hard time seeing them not opening it up eventually, the pre-order is likely more an early access bonus than an exclusive bonus. The exclusive things I pre-ordered for was the statue and whatnot

The Explorer's Pack is pretty much the only reason I'm considering pre-ordering. They'd earn more money if they allowed players to buy the pack for $10 after release, however.

What's really annoying is you complaining on every other thread while spreading rumors.

Now repeat with me: the imperial horse is NOT faster.

Please give a link to anything official that shows the white horse is faster.

Does the Imperial Horse have better stats than other horses in the game?

No. The Imperial Horse that allows players to "travel with speed through Tamriel" travels at the same speed as other horses found within the game. Its stats are identical to the stats of other horses in the game, too.

The time they let anyone play "any faction, any race" by simply paying a small fee, is the time the game is finished in my opinion. It will make factions totally pointless and just there for eye candy. I don't mind it going f2p after a while (which is inevitable and just a question of time, realistically speaking) but to then just take the initial idea of factions (which was RACE SPECIFIC) and to throw that out the window, to me the game wont be worth playing that much. There needs to be some limits, even when the game isn't as popular as on launch. I don't expect flying unicorn or dragon mounts or giant pandas.

Well perhaps you'd like to see how much a (nda...) horse has speed.

Oh and please do tell me that you will get that mount as fast as some one who is a regular.

Its not faster than horses that are ingame, but if you're gonna tell me its the same speed as the cheapest horse (which is a lot already) i'll definitely shut up about it.

Actually if horses are really that much faster than normal walking, just makes me even happier I did pre-order the Imperial Edition. I never used horses in Oblivion or Skyrim so I just figured I wouldn't use them in ESO, who knows, maybe it will be worth it.

I've deleted a couple of flame posts which I would normally give warnings for. So if your post is gone, consider yourself lucky that this section has worn me down until my warning button is so far away and I'm too tired to reach it. Don't count on it again because I'm brewing a pot of coffee after which I go on warning and banning sprees like no other.

First, tell me the drops are the same in the beta as in the real game; or are you psychic enough to predict how much loot you'll get from enemies or loot from chests? How fast are we going to be able to save the gold for a mount? I have no idea. I do have the elderscrollsonline site that has information about the horse in the collectors edition. It is a horse. It is white. Nothing about it being faster, stronger, have more containers, ability to pull humungous wagons, or leap mountains in a single bound. It is official information.

Who is a "regular" and how do you tell if someone is one? If I can really play one day/evening a week regularly, does that count? Or are you talking about someone who quits their job and lives the game 23 hours a day or something? Who will save enough gold to get a horse first? I don't know; are you willing to pass up upgrading your gear? Gonna depend on how you want to play.

I honestly don't understand your last sentence. If it is a regular horse, it will be the same speed as a regular horse. If the stats are identical to other horses in the game, then I'm not getting why you think the speed will be different. According to information out, you can customize the horse to an extent, so if I'm feeding mine whatever it is that adds to speed, mine will be faster. If I'm feeding mine for carrying weight, then yours will be faster. http://teso.mmorpg-life.com/eso-interview-with-maria-aliprando/

Please note the "right now". Things can change until the game is "gold", so things may change.
