Underwater Swimming...

Will this be in the game? I sure hope so because the single player games have that feature.

No, at least, not yet. You can swim in the water, but only on the surface.

Can't blame them. Most MMOs don't exactly have substantial underwater content. Add in the fact that many argonians want to have that as an advantage (meaning that other races have to have an air timer or something), then you have a challenging piece of content to complete and properly balance.

Hmm, haven't seen anything specifically about it but seeing as every other TES game has let you I don't see why it wouldn't be in ESO

True i didn't think about that, perhaps it's best to keep that out of the game.

I don't disbelieve you but do you have an article or something to link to read, honestly it is the first I have heard about it.

If GW2 can do it without having a sub fee you're damn sure that ESO better launch with it.

Yes GW2 had it, it was annoying and everyone hated it, the combat was a nightmare because you lost sight of your opponent all the time. As was heard many a time in GW2 "oh noes, another underwater quest...". I hope they leave it out.

I hope not.

Or rather... i would hope yes for the pve part of the game, big no for the pvp part.

Underwater battles were just lame in Daoc, and breaking LoS exploiting was even worse.

Unless they break the lore and make Argonians being unable to stay under, then doing this would make for a major advantage for one alliance over the other two. even if pre-orders get to play any race in any faction, the majority will not have this feature so we can't count on it balancing it out.

Could you imagine it? Some deep body of water in Cyrodiil, Ebonheart Pack has some Argonians stay stashed inside it while the rest hide or move on. The Argonians stay, mostly out of sight, being scouts for passing enemies. Oh they spotted the scouts? Swim deeper! Swim away! They can't stay under forever. Or maybe a gank crew. Argonians stay submerged in a lake or something, enemy comes riding along, gank crew in the water uses some type of pull skill. They're in the water. Just keep that guy in with snares and immobilizes and pulls and that's it. Easy kill. Very unfair advantage with no balance for it on the other sides.

Or they could break the lore and Argonians can't stay under any longer than other races. .. And then people would be moaning about "mah lores!"

You know, I loved the swimming in WoW the next MMO I played was SWTOR and it had nothing like that and I didn't realize how much I appreciated it until I play SWTOR.

It means the Argonian water-breathing wouldn't be a "very unfair advantage with no balancing for it on the other sides".

I loved the swimming in GW2 but the underwater combat was atrocious. The quests were you had to fight underwater were even worse.

To be perfectly honest I hope it is an option because when it comes to PvP I couldn't care less about balancing. Each race has their own advantages/disadvantages, they are not equal but neither are they superior/inferior, just different. An argonian breathing underwater, my breton being naturally resistant to magic. I am ok with it, but I also don't plan to PvP so again it makes little difference to me.
