Chosen for free beta, why do you need billing address?

Post » Mon Feb 10, 2014 1:38 pm

I give very little information online. The less people know about me the less I can be hurt. Three people in my neighborhood have had identity theft online so it DOES happen and more often than the software producers would like to admit. Why does Bethesda need me to expose information for a free beta?

When I buy the game I will go to a local store and if asked information online to set up an account I will lie. There is no gain for me in them having that information and a potential for loss.

Can't discuss beta here. There's a separate forum for that. Check your emails.

Also, beware of phishing scams - they're rampant.

I'm sorry but this is the wrong forum for reporting problems with your beta game play. Please refer to the following quote for further assistance. Also please note that the link to the beta forum is in your beta invitation. Please read the invitation carefully before playing the game. If you don't find the link in the invitation please ensure you have allowed your email client to display images and links. Happy testing! Remember, it's a test not a game release.
