Pre-order (free month bonus)

Post » Mon Feb 10, 2014 3:35 pm

Hey guys,

I am now convinced (after playing the beta) that I will be pre-ordering ESO. Unfortunately due to my job requirements, I will be unable to play at the release in April. Based on my pre-order, I have a "free" month to my account. Do I get to choose when I activate this free month, or is it going to be defaulted to 4/4/14-5/4/14? I would like the option to choose when to start my free month, but I figured I would check and see if this has been considered.

Thank you.

I think there is a free 1-month trial for ESO. Not too sure so don't assume I'm 100% correct.

While there been no official word as far as I know, I'm pretty sure your free month start whenever you activate the game and start playing, so it's not limited to April. Cause that's the case with all the other subscription based MMOs.

It should be 1 month from the first time you log in.

Remember that they are going to have copies of TESO on game store shelves long after the release day, and each one will give 1 month free play.

Unless you need to activate it, the retail trial periods would all expire before anybody bought them.

Thanks. That is what I assumed, but I just wanted to hear it officially.

I haven't been in the MMORPG realm since 2006 with WoW, so I figured I would just ask.

Still have to purchase the game though, right?

That would be incorrect, it will start when you first create your account and input your serial key, you don't need to log in.

You should get a key for your 30 days (different than the early access one), and you can choose when to activate it, at least i'm assuming so.

Aren't they keys bought directly from ZOS automatically activated? Or do you have to log in before the timer starts?
