I guess I just don't see it the same way... I primarily play on 360, but as far as I'm concerned console gamers complaining is entirely unwarranted and verging on idiotic... That being said the 360 did produce the most money for the TES series to date hands down, so they have a bit more rights then the PS3,, but other then that. In any case the simple fact is, developing a game for console requires time and money, and to be entirely honest, their choice to include consoles in their games release is just that, a convenient choice, they are giving you something they didn't have to, they could have just continued with their computer base and said screw you. Yes they make money by doing so, but the irony is that people complain about getting a game that trumps 90% of the games on the market (Thus they definitely got their moneys worth), and that wasn't even an original release for their console. Constructive criticism is one thing, but ranting about something like this is idiotic.

Ultimately its a good thing people like me don't run this PR campaign, because I'd just say screw it, and pull the releases for anything but the two flagships of this business 360 and PC, and if one of them complained and I could still break the market in sales, I might just pull back to the PC, which would for mere be quite unfortunate as I doubt my slightly outdated gaming laptop would run TES V extremely well.

No, I believe that Bethesda will not abandon their PC fan base by something as lame as an Xbox 360 exclusive.

Ohh how I'd wish that I could be sure about this :sadvaultboy:

The irony is that they just raised the price. I'm about five days away from canceling. My xbox got the E74 error and it's not under warranty. If I can't find a Torx T9 so I can open it up myself then I quit. :gun: :brokencomputer:

Back to the topic though, it probably will. Hopefully it's just delay release instead of exclusive though.

M$ will fix it for free.

I hate to throw this out there, because its likely to cause a flame riot, however thats not a lot of our problems... I have PC, and XBox360, and I'm probably going to go get a PS3. PS3 is a better console, but they don't get the game contracts because Microsoft is the primary contractor for both PC's and Consoles, and as a consequence the 360 gets the majority of the good first releases.

Now before that post starts a fight about which console has better games, I love a lot of PS3 exclusive releases, but on average XBox360 games ratings score 1.1 points higher out of a scale of 10, and the 360 DEFINITELY has a larger library as well. Sure a lot of it gets ported over to the PS3 later, but this is a good marketing decision, and I for one would be extraordinarily disappointed with Bethesda if they folded to yet ANOTHER console and put more development time, and concern into meeting the needs of a larger population instead of just sticking to their guns and creating good content for a slightly smaller audience. Frankly, I'd be fine if they started only making content for PC, or only for Xbox. After all if they made ALL of their content exclusive, they'd have more time. money, and developers to work on creating more content, or just working on their next game in general.

On the same note just to disprove my bias, I personally wouldn't be mad at them if they made the switch to the PS3 and made it an exclusive release for the PS3 because they could make it a better game and release a lot more content on that system, and do it faster. If that was the case I would applaud their balls to worry more about the game quality then they worried about the gripes of people with their pet systems. Of course that's not going to happen anyways, so whatever.

Not going to bother responding to most of this, as it would only result in a flame battle. I'm afraid of fire.

I will say though that Bethesda games on PS3 have thus far ran worse than the same on 360...so I don't know why you think it would be better if made for PS3.

All that said, Exclusive DLC is pretty lame. It's just business, and most people who condemn it on Microsoft consoles would celebrate it on Sony consoles.

I'd prefer if we were to just do away with it altogether. I have a 360, so I got to enjoy it all...but it always kind of irked me that owners of a PS3 never got to enjoy the GTAIV expansions. That's not cool.

While I don't agree with what Bethesda does with Microsoft. The question that should be asked here, is are you buying Skyrim for DLC or are you buying Skyrim to have the next TES game?

So who cares if DLC is exlusive to the 360. All the other platforms will have the SKYRIM all at the same time. Also if you guys know your history, the DLC has been released to the PS3 for
Fallout 3. Yes you have to wait a year later for it, but that is the way it is. People were pissed and shocked it happend for New Vegas. Why they were shocked they shouldn't have been.
Now there is no excuse when Skyrim comes out. History has been proven. 360 will get the DLC first, then the PC will get it, and then PS3 will get it.

Don't like it, don't buy the game. There is sooooo much content in the Bethesda games, it's not like anyone is missing out on anything. Just like when Morrowind came out for the xbox.
The xbox didn't get the mods like the PC players did. But so what. There is so much in the game it doesn't matter.

This is not like CoD games where it's an 8 hour game and that's it besides multiplayer. TES games you have over 100 hours of playing. There is so much to do in the game. I haven't gotten
the DLC for New Vegas because I still have so much more to do in the game to play.

Speaking of Xbox, when Morrowind finally came to the Xbox, I didn't care I had to wait more or less than half a year after the PC release. I didn't care that I didn't get to play the "official"
Bethesda "Plug-ins" for Morrowind. I was happy that I was able to play it.

So we should be happy that we can play it on our favorite platform. For all the crying and belly aching going on, Bethesda could make the game a 360 Exclusive and not release it for PC
or the PS3. I think if this happend people would be forced to buy a 360 to play their TES game fix. The game is not a 360 Exclusive but the DLC is timed exclusive. It could be worse. It could
only be PC or 360 or PS3 exclusive and the other 2 consoles could have been without.

So in the end, do you want to play the game or do you want to play the DLC?

Oblivion on the PS3 got Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isle - that's it. None of the other offical-plug in's that was on the PC/360 was made available on the PS3. No, Fighter's stronghold, Orrey, Wizard's Tower, Mehrunes Razor, Vile Lair etc.. Thank god for my PC.

As for the OP topic.. of course Skyrim will have exclusive DLC (probably) for the 360 too. Wouldn't be a Bethesda release if they didn't svck up to the 360 first.

Yeah, that svcks.

Competition is competition...but that svcks. Mehrune's Razor was fun and the Fighter Stronghold looked cool though I had stopped playin before it came out.

DLC is part of the Skyrim game. DLC has become more than just worthless horse-armor, over the years it has transformed into great gameplay levels with awesome contained stories. They can even be important to lore/canon of the franchise.

So in the end, do you want to play the game or do you want to play the DLC?

I want to play both, like xbox360 users.

Why complain? Bethesda soft works official plug-ins are always inferior to community made ones let the Xbox have its [censored] DLC as long as you have mods it doesn't really matter but what irks me is the ps3 players I rather they gave them both exclusive DLC but that's likely not going to happen sadly.

More than likely yes. While I do have an XBox and it would benefit me, I hate with a passion exclusives. Everyone should be able to play everything at the same time, when it comes to DLC.

Word.

meh, not the bigger FO3 ones or Dead Money. They offer pretty good gameplay events and sometimes story progression to the game world.

Or Shivering Isles comes to mind too.. I would rather see expansion packs than DLC
